A Proclamation: WGSNC Affordable Spay/Neuter Day
Whereas: Our animal shelters, humane societies, and animal rescues in the
Douglasville area are overwhelmed with unwanted animals and consequently have
high euthanasia rates; and
Whereas: Residents can help keep pets out of the local shelters and prevent
unnecessary euthanization with affordable spay and neuter services; and
Whereas: WGSNC is a non-profit organization that was established to assist
residents provide affordable, life saving spay and neuter surgery for their beloved
pets; and
Whereas: WGSNC understands that Douglasville residents and all pet owners, strive
to provide their pets with proper care but find it difficult financially to locate
affordable resources; and
Whereas: No domestic animal should have to endure any preventable reproductive
related illness due to the lack of affordable spay and neuter services; and
Whereas: WGSNC urges residents struggling to provide essential spay and neuter
surgery for their pet to inquire about affordable methods within their community;

Therefore: I, Rochelle Robinson, Mayor of the city of Douglasville Georgia, do
acknowledge the accomplishment of #100,000 spay and neuter surgeries
performed at West Georgia Spay Neuter Clinic and hereby proclaim April 30 th as
WGSNC AFFORDABLE SPAY/NEUTER DAY in Douglasville, GA.

We are very excited to announce that as of 1-3-2022, WGSNC is now located at 5971 Sutton Dr, Douglasville GA 30135!
Feral Cat Protocol
WGSNC only accepts feral cats without an appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. First come, first serve. We accept the first 5 cats each day in a LIVE TRAP ONLY with a limit of 1 cat per client. Feral cat admission forms are passed out starting as early as 645am to the first 5 trappers in line. Trappers are asked to fill out the admission form and wait for feral check-in to begin at 8am after our public appointments are checked in.
We have composed a list of situations where surgery might NOT be ideal for a pet and should be discussed prior to surgery. The following are considered situational and case by case for each patient and should be discussed with surgical staff:

The following are NOT surgical candidates and surgery should be rescheduled for a later date or performed at your RDVM:
*Ultimately surgery is at the Veterinarian's discretion - There will be a $25.00 intake exam fee if your pet is declined for any medical reasons.*
